POVERTY, WILL IT EVER END?

Poverty, Can it ever be a thing of the past? Poverty, will there be a day when the Black African will say to them selves, the difficulties is behind us. Will there be a time when our so call Political leaders will rise up and face their duties for their citizens. Poverty is it part of our economical process or is it a system which will live with us till the end?

Poverty, How cruel is it. So cruel that it shows no mercy to whom or where it chose to strike. For centuries the Christian faith had made us belief that poverty, hunger, wars and deprivations are all the punishment from God, to his disobeying children. Should we accept this interpretation as true or just a myth? Poverty as it stands now, can it ever be put into the dustbin of history or it will always be a branch of the economical tree.

To me Poverty is a man's own creation. It is a social form of oppression. The few and the powerful use it to keep the ignorant, weak and the majority in submission. The rich, the greedy and the so call Evil Pastors in the society use their power and influence to control the wealth of the country with the support of corrupt official. Such deeds are done for their own selfish ends. The left over and the unwanted ones are left for the many and the poor to battle over. Such attitude create tension in the country between the haves and the have not. Dishonest government diverts funds to protect their booty. They intend use the security agency on the opposition to distract attention from the main problem.

From history, poverty had been with mankind all over the world. But African point of view ours seem as a cause. We are born into it without any sign of ending or getting better at the end. It is an on going thing from one disaster to another. Our people are dying like DOGS all over the continent. The rich and the few are getting richer while the poor, the young, the old and the have not are waiting for death to take them to their resting place. And hope never to return again to this uncaring world full of evil and unjust.

African have become the joke and evil of this world. We don’t count in the world affairs .We are not important no matter how fair your black colour is or your education standard. The left over are pass to the continent. Experiments are done on us in the name of aids, gifts and grant. We have sold our birthright; some even go as far as given up the will to live. While the Christians are telling us not to worry, But ours (PRIZE) is in heaven or in the second coming.(MY QUESTION IS WHEN O! O!)

The Religious leaders or the so call Born again pastors of today are all over place, now they had left Africa to the west to spread the gospel. Some of them had taken the task of offering the poor, the unfortunate, and the weak in the society a shoulder to cry on. This so call Pastors had even gone the distance to offer them the refuge under their banners. But these Pastors have their own agenda. These so call men of God in dog collars use the gospel to put fear in their unfortunate members of their club .By so doing the poor are left with no hope. They refuse to think for themselves, they refuse to belief in themselves and their strength, and what they can do to uplift them from their present predicaments. They rely on these so call Evil pastors for hope and salvation. Deprivation is all over their life. Some of this pastors use their situation and ignorant to take control over their life, while this men of God lives in Luxury at the expense of this same poor people. They use the interpretation of the BIBLE to support their evil deeds and intent. The living conditions of the poor goes down while this Pastors life style goes up and up. "They are reaping their reward from God".

This Evil Pastors or Men from God constantly talks or preach about miracle and power they can bring to the homes of the poor. But privately they despise their critic. Their taste and beliefs, in reality the poor people are increasingly feeling marginalized. Their true opinions derided and ignored. Decent and hard working people in the country are constantly subjected to outrageous smear campaign through their half baked sermon. Most people see such pastors agenda bear little resemblance to what they preach. In many instance they are diametrically opposed. Having lost the argument for their evil stand on the faith, they resort to name calling and strong arm tactics at the expense of the true Gospel and faith. I WISH a true and honest Pastor or believer to prove me wrong. Thanks for reading. PETER KWABENA SENKYIRE
