Advertising On Ghana Radio Stations

I have noticed this for sometime now and I will like to bring it to the attention of the Ghanaian public and the radio station management that most adverts aired on Hot FM and other ghanaian radio stations are very misleading.

My first one is an advert by Wayoosi Music and services where it states that if you purchase your airline tickets from then, they will drop you off and pick you up from the airport. However when you contact them and try to verify this, they will tell you that the offer is long gone and so my question is why is the advert still being aired if the details are not accurate. Secondly an advert by Olympic Global Travel misleads the general public by advertising of cheap tickets for students and non-students, again when you phone them, they will tell you that this is only applicable during off-peak season.

In that case why dont they save us either the travel or phone call by giving us all these specifics in their adverts, my answer to this is that because they will like to mislead the Ghanaian public about non-existent offers and services and I find this very unacceptable.

This particular advert of wayoosi is also too long. Opanyin Marfo defended the the part that says you will be transported to the airport and back. He said that phrase  is longer in the advert but I hear it everyday. My philosophy is I get my services from the best provider and I don't care who. If Ghanains wants us to patronage their goods and services, they should improve on them. Quality is what I need and not quantity.

I have also noticed most of the adverts are misleading but was very surprised with the professionalism and the speed with which www.megyemesika.com responded to me.
I want www.megyemesika.com to claim all my Bank Charges for me and they are working hard on it.

So far as I know, Megyemesika is not advertised on any radio station, I was referring to all most adverts aired on Kasapah, Hot, WBLS, AfricFM etc. Nonetheless I am sure there are still some very responsible businesses out there who are offering the ghanaian community A-class services and for that we are all very grateful.

I AM GLAD PEOPLE ARE BEGINING TO RAISE THIS ISSUE. THERE ARE A NUMBER OF ADVERTS THAT ARE VERY  MISLEADING, THE FIRST EXAMPLE IS THE ONE FOR RECHARGER. THIS PRODUCT IS A SEXUAL ENHANCER AND HAS NO MEDICINAL CHARACTERISTICS WHATSOEVER, YET THE ADVERT CLAIMS IT IS SUPPOSEDLY GOOD FOR KIDNEY PROBLEMS, DIABETES AND ALL THAT. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS AS BASHING CRUSADE AGAINST YOU GUYS BUT THESE CAN LEAD TO SERIOUS HEALTH ISSUES.
ANOTHER ONE IS THE NEW MAXI POWER 2, AGAIN I HAVE IT TAKEN UPON MY SELF TO HAVE A LOOK AT IT AND IT'S NOTHING BUT A SEXUAL ENHANCER, THERE IS NOTIHNG WRONG ADVERTISING PRODUCTS BUT PLEASE DO NOT SAY OR ADD THINGS WHICH CAN IMPLY FALSEHOOD. I LOVE THE GOOD WORK YOU GUYS DO KEEP IT REAL.
