Folks i am very upset about the way nungua chiefs are taking so much money from people who have bought their lands way back. A friend of mine bought his land about 7yrs ago and he is almost finishing his roofing.
Due to the complexity of land registration in ghana up to date he has not manged to complete his land registration. what surprise me is that the land registration department has taking 4years to to write him a letter saying that he should go and a get a consent letter from the nungua chiefs before the land can be registered.

Ok folks , to me friend  surprise the chiefs have told him to pay the following.

2million for going to see where the land is.
2 western achool drink worth 1.6millon.
for the chief to hear your case he is charging  2.5million.
typing the consent letter they are charging you 300 thousand
and lastly for someone to sign the letter they are charging 10million,

total cost = 16.4million to get a consent letter from the nungua chiefs.
Is this fair?
