I was very disappointed at how the so called Ghana Music Awards turned out. 99% of the artists advertised did not bother to turn up. Why did the organisers lie to us especially the so called 'easy-e' who assured us on the radio and I remember speaking to him about the awards. He said that all the artists were in the UK and will appear live on stage at the awards. I was soo embarassed because I had guests some foreign whom I had boasted and proudly invited to the awards, what happened? The whole show was a flop. The presenters were a disgrace, claiming to be of Ghanaian origin and could not pronouce simple Ghanaian names, even broadcasters from the BBC are able to pronouce names without being offensive. a word of advice to easy-e, next time try to tell the truth if something goes wrong don't try to scheme money off us and expect us to sing your praises. All your friends know it was a flop but they were being too polite to say it to your face. You are a fraud and I will make sure none of my friends will ever attend any of your shows your 'AWAM' company organises. I DO NOT CARE WHAT ANYONE HAS TO SAY BECAUSE I PAID A GOOD £140 for myself and my guests to attend. Some of them where even interested in investing and promoting good businesses in Ghana and now due to yourselfness Ghana on a whole will miss this excellent opportunity. You will be suprised but the way the show was produced shows ineffeciency with no organisational structure.
I did'nt manage to get to the Ocean at Hackney and felt sad that I had missed out on such a great event but now I am pleased that I did'nt waste my time + money. Thanks for your information.
So much of your harsh words, come on tone it down for crying out loud! Personally I do not accept the fact that Ghana would be denied a viable investment and promotion of good business just because an event organisation did not go according to plan. Get real and off your high oars, instead of your rantings, why don't you give him a putt on his back and possibly a positive criticism that would help him make it a better event next time? Ghanaians and their PHD attitude, no wonder whenever we take one step forward, we end up taking two back. Thank you!
I second what Kathy said...I thought I missed a great show the way it was advertised only to hear that Naa+crew had been rip-off. When is this going to stop?
Please let's act as matured & professional people. I can't wait to bump into/ hear Easy e to give him a piece of advise.
First of all has the organisers of this event come out to express their feedback? or are they busy counting Naa+crews £££?
we are the ones that can give them a decent feedback & we are doing so by the look of things. Ghanaian like settling for second best too much & no body remembers second position.
My dear pal the only way forward is constructive critisism and that is what this forum is all about. it will be interesting to hear Easy Media's take on this!!
I don't blame Naa for being so upset. She paid and went to this show to support her own people. I heard most of the artist nominated were not informed.
The least the organiser can do next time is to invite the nominated artist to come and participate rather than lying to the people who are there to support him.
Your source of information about nominees not being invited is definitely flawed because its 'hearsay', stop relying on 'konkonsa' and try finding out information for yourself. Konkonsa translated rumours has been the downfall of Africa.
